About Rodney
Rodney’s law practice focuses on the representation of Virginia public school boards and regional education programs across the Commonwealth. Rodney has served as general or special counsel for more than 50 school board and regional education program clients. Public education clients statewide value his judgment and steady counsel on the vast array of legal challenges they confront. His pragmatism and extensive experience make him an invaluable resource to his public school clients.
He regularly advises clients on virtually every substantive area of law affecting school boards and the operation of public schools, including constitutional law, employment law, student rights, construction, special education, board governance and inter-governmental relations, and litigation. He has proven experience helping his clients navigate and effectively manage high-profile matters that involve intense media and public attention. His more than 35 years of legal experience includes high-stakes litigation involving the representation of insurers of financial institutions during the Savings and Loan crisis, and the representation of hospitals and physicians in the defense of professional liability claims.
