Newell serves Virginia State Bar as professionalism faculty

J. Ross Newell, III, has been a member of the faculty for the Virginia State Bar's Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Course since 2015. Together with judges and other esteemed attorneys, Mr. Newell instructs newly licensed attorneys on the legal profession's Rules of Professional Conduct. The course emphasizes the exacting standards and ideals of professionalism that have long characterized the practice of law in the Commonwealth. For the 2017-2018 sessions, Mr. Newell's instruction will focus on Professionalism in Client Relations.

Mr. Newell's participation in the Professionalism Course is exemplar of the deep commitment all TimberlakeSmith attorneys have to the principles that underlie the Rules of Professional Conduct and the ideals that inspire professionalism, both of which enable the practice of law to remain one of the few remaining self-regulated professions in the Commonwealth.
